From Bangkok to Phuket 🤍

Unwrapping this beautiful Stuppa piece, now safely arrived for one of my Phuket projects.

I love sourcing original artwork for a space — pieces that bring texture, character and something a little unexpected 🧡.

Four stools, one very long journey. ✈️ 🇹🇭 🇧🇪

Made for a longtime client — and a good friend — for her beautiful kitchen in Belgium. Every element was chosen to sit with the room she had already built: curved backs, dark stained timber taken from her cabinetry, and a striped Jim Thompson fabric whose ochres and creams settle beautifully against the cappuccino marble.

Cut, upholstered and finished by hand, then packaged for the 9,000km trip.

She kindly sent these through once they had landed — the first time we’ve seen the stools in the room they were built for-we really appreciate the sharing 🙏

Fresh from the easel…

There’s something very special about seeing an original piece in its final moments — the last details, the signature, and then waiting for the paint to dry before it begins its journey to Phuket.

Sourced especially for one of my projects and soon to be heading to its new home.

It doesn’t get much more original than this. 🤍

One of my favourite materials to source… fossilised wood 🤎

I’ve sourced these pieces for several of my previous projects, and I still love going through them individually to find the right one.

Formed naturally over millions of years, every piece is completely unique — different colours, grain, mineral markings, shapes and proportions.

I love the contrast of something so natural and organic alongside softer fabrics and more refined furniture. It adds warmth, texture and character without trying too hard.

And they are incredibly heavy… something you definitely remember when sourcing them! 😂

I’m heading back to my supplier soon for some current projects — time to find the ones.

These bespoke bar stools are almost ready to leave Bangkok and head to their new home on the beautiful Belgian coast. 🇧🇪

Designed around the client’s colour palette and made completely to order.

I can’t wait to see them in situ. ✨
