MACARIA, Bangkok.
Macaria เริ่มต้นจากความทรงจำ เรื่องราวของหญิงชาวมายันผู้ถ่ายทอดความรักผ่านอาหาร
สำหรับเรา ความทรงจำนั้นกลายเป็นจุดตั้งต้นของงานออกแบบภายใน เราไม่ได้ต้องการสร้างภาพจำของร้านอาหารเม็กซิกันขึ้นมาใหม่ แต่ต้องการถ่ายทอดจิตวิญญาณของเม็กซิโกผ่านความอบอุ่น งานฝีมือ สีสัน ศิลปะ และการที่ผู้คนได้มาใช้เวลาร่วมกัน
Yucatán เป็นเส้นเรื่องสำคัญที่เชื่อมโยงเจ้าของร้าน อาหาร และงานเชือกที่กลายเป็นหนึ่งในองค์ประกอบเด่นของพื้นที่ งานสาน กระเบื้องลวดลาย งานไม้ สิ่งทอ และสีสัน ถูกนำมาร้อยเรียงร่วมกันเพื่อสร้างทั้งบรรยากาศและเรื่องราวทางวัฒนธรรม
พื้นที่ Dining หลักได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจาก Mexican Plaza พื้นที่ที่ผู้คนมาพบปะ รับประทานอาหาร และแบ่งปันช่วงเวลาร่วมกัน
ศิลปะก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเรื่องราวเช่นกัน ภาพ Frida Kahlo ทำหน้าที่เป็น Visual Centerpiece ของพื้นที่ และช่วยเติมอีกมิติของอัตลักษณ์และจิตวิญญาณทางศิลปะของเม็กซิโก
Macaria จึงเป็นการตีความ Mexico ในแบบร่วมสมัยของเรา ผ่านความทรงจำ Yucatán งานหัตถกรรม วัฒนธรรม และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้คน

Macaria began with a memory, the story of a Mayan woman who expressed love through food.
For us, that memory became the starting point for the interior. Rather than recreating a familiar image of a Mexican restaurant, we wanted to translate the spirit of Mexico through warmth, craftsmanship, colour, art and the way people come together.
Yucatán became an important thread in the story, connecting the owners, the food and the handcrafted rope elements that shape the space. Woven forms, patterned tiles, rich timber, textiles and expressive colours bring a sense of craft and cultural depth throughout the restaurant.
The main dining space takes inspiration from the social character of a Mexican plaza, a place where people gather, share food and spend time together.
Art also becomes part of the cultural narrative. The Frida Kahlo mural anchors the dining space as a visual centerpiece, bringing another layer of Mexican identity and artistic spirit into the interior.
The result is our contemporary interpretation of Mexico, shaped by memory, Yucatán, craft, culture and connection, and translated into a space made for Bangkok.
