An array of pieces from the GUBI collection introduced a striking presence to the heart of our Shanghai showroom for ‘Layers of Living’, a limited- time installation that placed the panache of twentieth- century and contemporary design in dialogue with the savoir-faire of our handcrafted wallcoverings and interiors.

Rich in dimension and tone, our hand-embroidered ‘Etienne’ wallcovering resonates with the warm hue of a sculptural F300 chair by Pierre Paulin: forming a scenography defined by a harmonious layering of colour, craftsmanship, and form.

The creative confluence of the two houses continued into the living area, where our ‘Marquetrie Bund’ wallcovering unfolds in a breathtaking depiction of Shanghai’s celebrated cityscape.

Hand-painted to evoke rosewood marquetry, it formed an atmospheric backdrop to midcentury GUBI seating designed by Tito Agnoli and Gabriella Crespi.

Beyond a pair of sliding doors, our tea room’s hand-painted and hand-embroidered ‘Wild Grasses’ wallcovering frames an elegantly modern arrangement of Rainer Daumiller chairs, and Space Copenhagen dining table - bringing a sleek, contemporary sensibility to the space.

Preludio Collection by VENTI explores leather through three distinct studies of form, rhythm, and nature.

• Cellula returns to the origin, translating the microscopic structure of cork into a tactile composition where every module reveals the quiet strength of organic geometry.

• Infinito evolves from Studioart’s iconic Pattern 8, transforming it into the symbol of infinity. Repeated with architectural precision, its modular composition creates an uninterrupted rhythm that extends seamlessly across the wall.

• Foliage, nature is distilled into movement. Delicate leather lines trace the veins of leaves, evoking growth, fluidity, and the quiet energy that allows a space to breathe.

Together, the three designs reflect Preludio’s exploration of material as architecture—where leather becomes structure, texture becomes atmosphere, and every surface shapes the experience of space.
