When a well-known Isan buffet restaurant in the Rangsit area wants to refresh its space and overall image, the renovation of Jaew Heng Rangsit became more than a functional upgrade. It was an exploration into redefining the restaurant’s identity with an aim to blend modern sensibility with a welcoming atmosphere.
The design process began with reorganizing the interior layout to create a clear separation between the customer area and the kitchen zone. The kitchen wall was designed as the central architectural element, serving both as a visual backdrop and as a self-service counter that integrates the drink bar, dessert station, and cashier in a single continuous line.
Natural light and ventilation were also key considerations, ensuring a bright and airy dining experience. A line of built-in planters was introduced to soften the dining area, offering visual comfort while subtly defining the space between seating zones for privacy.
The restaurant’s signature warm shade of red was paired with illuminated polycarbonate wall panels, creating a glowing visual rhythm that serves as the restaurant’s focal point. This vivid red is balanced with a palette of beige tones, adding a sense of warmth while softening the intensity of the brand color. The contrast between beige and red not only enriches the spatial composition but also ensures the building stands out in the evening light.
