A Note on Colour ~ Ochre
From cherry red, I’m moving into a different expression of bold. Quieter. More grounded.
Ochre is a muted yellow softened with earthy brown. Unlike brighter yellows that can feel sharp and energetic,
ochre holds warmth in a more settled way.
It tends to make a space feel calm, warm, and quietly inviting.
A colour that doesn’t rush you but it lets you slow down and stay.
It carries warmth, but stays grounded.
Soft enough to calm the eye,
rich enough to hold the space together.
In interiors, ochre works beautifully in larger elements. Think of sofas, walls, or key pieces, where it can anchor a space without feeling heavy.
Once paired with natural materials, it brings a sense of authenticity.
It doesn’t demand attention.
It settles the room.
This is a colour that feels lived in, not styled.
Quiet, warm, and deeply intentional.
