DESIGN CONCEPT 2026: The National Agency for Thai Craft Promotion has selected us again!

They will sponsor Akha Ma-De for 2 months to develop our corporate gift collection — our Phuang Malai.

This new collection will be unveiled at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center next June at Craft Bangkok 2026, the leading event for Thai corporate gifts and decorative art.

Here is a commissioned piece created for a Chinese actor.

The oversized pom-pom recalls the long tassels found beneath Chinese lanterns, mounted on two small braided spheres representing the lantern itself.

And of course, the red and gold symbolize luck and wealth.

An elegant piece that I love, which I named “Empress.”

Thailand has Queens — China had Empresses.
