Our brass pieces have just arrived.

Brass has become one of our favorite materials because we love watching it slowly change and age with the air and with every touch. When you bring one home, we hope you’ll keep it for a long, long time. We’re pretty sure it will last. And just imagine how beautiful it might become one day, when it turns vintage and perhaps gets passed down from one generation to the next :)

Let us introduce you to one of our favorite Thai desserts, Sai Mai (สายไหม).

It’s a kind of DIY sweet — you wrap it up and eat it right away, by yourself. ♡

Highly recommend pairing it with Hojicha tea for a cozy afternoon.

〖 the gift from our trip 〗

It’s been a while since our last update. Our backdoor team just came back from a summer vacation in Japan. Not gonna lie, it’s crazy hot and we miss Chiang Mai rain so much!

Here’s some update from our new arrivals — things we found in Japan. Some are vintage, some are uniquely handcrafted.

We’ve left our store a little empty for the past two weeks while we were away. From today, we’ll try our best to fill it back up!

We are so glad to have Taa ceramic with us again.

Our talented Japanese artist friend, who lives humbly in Chiang Mai, has restocked their ceramic ware — especially the perfectly imperfect matcha bowls :)
