ประวัติ : กระจูด หรือ จูด (ภาษาใต้ท้องถิ่น)
📒 กระจูด มีถิ่นกำเนิดจากทาง อาทิเช่น
เกาะมาดากัสการ์ สุมาตรา แหลมมาลายู อินโดจีนตอนริมฝั่งทะเล ฮ่องกง บอร์เนียว ตลอดถึงออสเตรเลีย ริมฝั่งตะวันออก
🌱 ชนิดของกระจูด เป็นพันธ์ไม้จำพวก "กก" (sedge) ในตระกูล "Lepironia" เป็นพืชที่ชอบขึ้นในบริเวณน้ำขัง ตามริมทะเลสาบที่เป็นดินโคลน ภาษาใต้ เรียกกว่า "โพระ หรือ พรุ" ลักษณะลำต้นของกระจูดเป็นกลมเรียว มีข้อปล้องภายในคล้ายลำไผ่ ความสูงประมาณ 1-3 เมตร ระยะเวลาใน การเพาะปลูก 3 ปี ต้นจึงโตได้ขนาด จึงจะสามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้ สิ่งสำคัญเมื่อถอนต้นกระจูดไปแล้ว หน่อก็จะแตกต้นใหม่ขึ้นมาแทนที่เป็นการหมุนเวียนทรัพยากรนำไปใช้
🧵 การใช้ประโยชน์จาก กระจูด
เป็นภูมิปัญญาเริ่มแรกของ เกษตรกรชาวใต้ที่อาศัยอยู่แถบชายฝั่งตะวันออก ซึ่งมีเวลาว่างหลังจากการทำสวนยางพารา ได้รู้จักนำกระจูดมาจักรสาน ซึ่งผ่านกรรมวิธีในการทำหลายขั้นตอน เช่น นำต้นมาตากแดดให้แห้งหลังจากนั้นก็ใช้วิธีการกลิ้งด้วยแท่นปูนทรงกลมให้ลำต้นเรียบแบน เป็นเส้น แล้วนำมาสานเสื่อลำลอง นั่ง/นอน จักรสานของใช้ในครัวเรือน
🪴 ในปัจจุบัน วิธีการรีดกระจูดได้เปลี่ยนไปตามช่วงเวลาสมัยใหม่ ที่ใช้เครื่องจักรรีดแทนการใช้แรงในสมัยก่อน กระจูด ที่มีความคงทน เบา รับน้ำหนักได้ดี มีอายุการใช้งานที่ยาวนาน ฝีมือที่ประณีตของช่างจักรสาน ได้ถูกพัฒนาเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ในรูปแบบต่างๆ ให้เข้ากับยุคสมัย เพื่อออกจำหน่าย อาทิ เช่น กระเป๋า , หมวก , เสื่อ ที่รองจาน , ที่รองแก้ว , ปลอกหมอน และอีกมากมาย ติดตามได้ที่เพจเรานะคะ

✋🏻 History: Krajood or Jude ( southern Thai language)
📒 Krajood originated from
Madagascar, Sumatra, Cape Malay, coastal Indochina, Hong Kong, Borneo, and east coast of Australia.
🌱 Krajood is a sedge in the "Lepironia" family. They are plants that adapted to grow in waterlogged areas, along the muddy lake In southern Thai language is called "Phro or Phru” They have around and slender trunks (internal joints similar to bamboo)
The height is about 1-3 meters. The duration of cultivation is 3 years, so the plant can grow up to size and can be utilized. After removing the Krajood, the sprouts will then grow new plants instead of circulating resources to be used.
🧵 Usage of Krajood
It is the first wisdom of Southern farmers living on the east coast. For their free time after rubber plantation, known to bring krajood to weave which has been through a process of making several steps, such as bringing the plant to dry in the sun and then using the method of rolling with a circular cement platform to smooth the trunk into a line, then used to weave a casual, sitting/sleeping mat, household wicker.
🌿 Nowadays, technological progress has had a significant impact on various production methods. The Krajood manufacturing industry is no exception, employing mechanical rolling machines rather than traditional pressing techniques.
Despite the fact that we live in an age of technology, the exquisite craftsmanship of a weaver is still used to create products in a variety of timeless forms, such as bags, hats, mats, placemats, coasters, pillowcases, and more. Follow us on social media.
