The Psychology of Pink Spaces :Pink is more than a color — it's a feeling 🌸

Pink sits between red and white, so it carries both energy and softness. Lighter tones are linked to calm and comfort, while more saturated pinks feel closer to red and more stimulating. That range makes it one of the few colors that can either settle a space or activate it.

There’s some history behind this. In the 1970s, “Baker-Miller Pink” was used in U.S. correctional facilities after studies suggested it could temporarily reduce aggression and heart rate. The effect was short-lived, but it showed how color can influence behavior.

In interiors, pink works best when it’s built into materials, not just used as an accent. Muted pink plaster, stone, or textiles shift with light throughout the day and add depth. Pale tones can open up a room, while deeper pinks create a more enclosed, intimate feel.
