In our studio, steel meets molten glass to dictate its final posture. Relying strictly on gravity, intense heat, and hand tools, we shape the internal architecture in real-time. The continuous canes you see aren’t just applied patterns, they form the physical skeleton of the vessel, guided entirely by human hands.

This highly demanding process eventually cools into absolute stillness. A scene of standing figures. Some upright, some slightly off, all holding their breath.

Belonging to the Cultural Heritage series, the Stratum vases distill elements of cultural memory into a contemporary artistic discourse.

These monumental pieces explore the concept of geological and historical layers through a striking, two-toned visual aesthetic. Crafted entirely without molds using the highly demanding incalmo technique, a luminous, perfectly transparent crystal upper half is masterfully fused to a vibrant, solid base while the glass is still molten hot. The undulating boundary between the clear and colored glass mimics the earth’s natural stratifications.

A definitive 1-of-1 sculptural statement where no two silhouettes are ever exactly alike.

Glass has its own memory. We simply give it breath.

At 1200°C, is a living medium. We work without molds, we let the material guide us. What happens in this furnace is a delicate dialogue, a balance between our structural discipline and whatever the fluid glass naturally allows.

No duplicates. No forced repetition. Every piece that leaves our studio is a record of a single, unrepeatable conversation.

Three years ago, we stood on a empty helipad in Antalya with a singular vision: to bridge the structural discipline of architecture with the fluid, primal soul of molten glass.

Today, Lonca is more than a studio. It is a modern guild: a laboratory where raw material is transformed into structural art and a community for those who believe the objects we live with should possess a physical soul. We don’t just create pieces; we engineer the presence of the spaces they inhabit, curating a lifestyle rooted in transparency and craft.

As we mark our 3rd anniversary, we aren’t just looking back at the furnace. We are looking forward to the next evolution of our material narrative. 🔥
