第一當屬廣東端硯，石質溫潤細膩，通常伴有火捺、冰紋、魚腦凍。發墨輕柔不傷筆，自古啊就是文人的首選，而老坑端硯更是收藏界的硬通貨。
The first genus: Guangdong Duan inkstone. The stone is warm and delicate, usually accompanied by fire suppression, ice pattern, and fish brain freeze. The ink is gentle and does not hurt the pen. Since ancient times, it has been the first choice for literati, and the old pit Duan inkstone is even more hard currency in the collection world.
第二個，安徽歙硯。取龍尾石為材，多金星、金暈、眉紋、雁翎。它的石質堅潤，發墨如油，氣質冷峻，書寫大字尤其適合。

第三，甘肅洮河硯。其材質碧綠如玉，紋理如波浪，石質細膩瑩潤，是四大名硯中最珍貴也最難得的品種。

第四個，山西澄泥硯。山西澄泥硯是中國四大名硯中唯一用泥燒製而成的硯台。其材質堅如金石，潤如玉石，不滲水發墨快，造型文雅古樸，文人氣息最重。
Fourth: Shanxi Chengni inkstone. Shanxi Chengni inkstone is one of the four famous inkstones in China, only use inkstone made of mud. Its material is as solid as gold stone, moist as jade, no water seepage and fast ink, elegant and quaint shape, literati breath is the heaviest.
