This is part of the LEM station public space, where you can enjoy a delicious meal and have a wonderful time in a unique atmosphere.
A tram depot built in 1894 on Dmytro Vitovsky Street.
We divided the space vertically—creating mezzanine and balcony areas without altering the original proportions. Food market operators are located below, while the space above remains open, filled with light streaming through the stained-glass roofs.
In the center, we placed a bar styled after the carriages of an old Austrian railway (which used to run from Vienna to Lviv back in the day). Each vendor has its own design—offering a variety of choices, yet everything works as a cohesive whole. Natural lighting, a sense of the building’s scale, and the opportunity to experience the history of the place.
It’s a balance of the historic and the modern. Old walls and new functions coexist, creating the inspiring atmosphere of a dynamic, modern city.
