I just got a letter in the mail today from Medicare, showing some unusual claims from an unknown to me medical company for six months of urinary catheters that were fraud. Fortunately, the FBI has already arrested this Russian scammer. Medicare said nine companies doing the same thing. They’re sending me a new Social Security number. So be sure to check your mail and look over your claims. Someone may have gotten your social security number too.
A Russian citizen who ran an office in Texas was allegedly billing Medicare $134 million in fraudulent charges. Nika Machutadze is now being charged with money laundering, his attorney told CBS News Texas that Machutadze maintains his innocence.
