In tribute to the unique way that The Oregon Trail made me feel like a psychopath when in my head, my whole wagon party is starving to death and the game lets me carry like 9,000 bullets so Iāll annihilate the prairie wildlife because Iāve got to save Pa, and Ma, and Lucy from STARVATION!
Looking back on it, the funniest part of the game for me is how brutal the game was about my poor decisions.
In my head Iāve shot a buffalo and provided food for my family. But then the game comes back with:
āYou have killed 879 pounds of meat but were only able to carry back 100 pounds.ā
š³ Which is basicaly saying. āGood job Psycho, youāve had to abandon 700 pounds of meat and itās just gonna rot in the sun because youāre a wasteful dumbassā.
Turns out meat is heavy, your hunting is environmentaly irresponsible, you didnāt think this through and the buffalo did not deserve this.
But the game didnāt teach you these things at the onset of your hunting adventure, no, no, they casually drop this on you AFTER youāve spent ten minutes gunning down everything in your path.
