Pamela Sandall Design

Pamela Sandall Design Is your home a welcoming reflection of you? My design plan marries YOUR treasures and style with creative design solutions.

I have been active in the Home Fashions industry since 1986. I bring my experience in the field, along with educational training to the design firm I launched in 2001. Pamela Sandall Design specializes in creating comprehensive, well-coordinated design plans that include color, fabric texture and style. Most importantly I integrate my clients personal style and existing treasures with the requirem

ents the space and function dictate. I stay active in the design community in order to bring my clients the best options for their projects. I have served as the President of The Interior Design Society Portland chapter. I was also a marketing director for a custom upholstery manufacturer. While there, I created a program tailored to the needs of designers and their clients, as well as designing both the showroom and many of the pieces featured. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching a fun and informative Interior Design classes at Portland Community College for six years. It gave me the ability to share my love of design through user friendly, hands on techniques. I am a former So Cal resident, recently transplanted back to the Los Angeles market and will be presenting home decor classes for public speaking engagements and community groups. Taking a client’s needs into consideration saves both time and money and a high investment project. Some accolades include being included in the 2009 Street of Dreams in the Pearl district in Portland Oregon, participating in a show kitchen at Standard TV and Appliances in Beaverton, Or, and being featured in several newspaper articles!

Design isn't decoration. It's decision-making.

It starts ugly. Down to the studs.

Before the fabric. Before the furniture. Before anyone's picked a single finish.

There's a floor plan that doesn't work yet. A budget that doesn't balance yet. A hundred small decisions nobody will ever see, made in the wrong order, undone, and made again — correctly.

The most beautiful rooms don't start beautiful. They start with structure.

That's the work. That's how we work.

What does luxury really feel like? It's not just beautiful finishes—it's the quiet, intentional moments your home supports every day."

We often associate luxury with high-end marble, custom millwork, or statement light fixtures—and while those details certainly elevate a space, true luxury goes much deeper.

Real luxury is functional. It’s a layout that flows effortlessly so your morning routine feels smooth instead of rushed. It’s a reading nook styled with the perfect task light and tailored seating that invites you to slow down at the end of the day. It’s having a home that isn't just styled for a photo shoot, but thoughtfully designed around how you actually live.

When every finish, texture, and piece of furniture serves both beauty and purpose, your home becomes a backdrop for ease, comfort, and peace of mind.

The magic is always in the layers.

When designing this space, we wanted every angle to tell a story—from the tactile grasscloth walls in the study to the custom stone mantle in the main living area. Rich wood tones bring the grounding energy, while tailored neutral seating keeps things light, open, and effortless.

Your overhead light is not enough.

Every well-designed room has 3 light sources:
✨ Ambient — overhead, sets the base
✨ Task — lamps, where you actually work
✨ Accent — sconces, candles, mood

Skip one and the room feels flat. Layer all three and it feels finished.

A space can be picture-perfect, but if it doesn't support your daily routines, it misses the mark.

"The difference between a home that looks beautiful and one that feels luxurious comes down to one word: Intention."

True luxury is a home that gives you a warm hug when you step through the door. It’s an environment designed around your habits, your quiet moments, and your passions.

This space just says "welcome home."

The blended classic white cabinetry with warm wood floors and natural textures like these woven blinds for a modern, cozy feel. Can't you just imagine brewing a coffee here or curling up on that sofa with a book?

Tell us below: which feature is your favorite? The waterfall island, the woven blinds, or the blue cabinetry accent? 👇💬

Who despises laundry?!

Surrounding yourself with intentional design elements—like rich wallpaper, warm brass accents, and moody cabinetry—tricks your brain into viewing laundry time as a pleasant ritual rather than a stressful task.

Turn task time into quiet time—toss in that next load, turn on your favorite playlist or podcast, and enjoy the beautiful haven you've created.

This one had great bones and a home already full of beautiful pieces. What it needed wasn't more — it was editing.

We refined the palette, reworked the kitchen, and gave the bathrooms new life — turning an existing tub nook into a spa-like retreat with a steam shower and a chandelier overhead. The result is a home that feels easy and intentional, not overly decorated: fresh, comfortable, and quietly elevated for a relaxed California lifestyle.

Sometimes the best design move isn't adding — it's editing down to what matters.

Thoughtful design decisions leave lasting comfort — not just lasting impressions.
A beautiful room is easy to photograph. A well-designed one is easy to live in — every day, not just on shoot day.

That's the difference we design for: spaces that hold up long after the "wow" moment fades, because they were built around how you actually live. Beauty should do more than look good. It should make life better.
