It’s 2026 and I’m breaking up with my smart phone!
GOING OLD SCHOOL WITH A LAND LINE AND OMG AN ACTUAL MESSAGE MACHINE!

I’m giving up daily smartphone use and living like it’s 1999. This means I won’t be available at a moment’s notice, replies will take time, and I might actually be doing something creative when you think of me.

I’m so over my happiness, my success, and anything that matters to me feeling forcefully dragged down by insignificant constant access. I truthfully get 1% of actual meaningful contact. Maybe it’s different for you guys but realizing my life is consumed this way leaves me feeling endlessly empty mentally and emotionally.

I AM STILL CREATING! I will post art as needed. You can find me in Kailua at the Lokahi Market Sundays 9-1. Also the Haleiwa Arts Festival on North Shore later in the year.

Constant tethering (of all kinds) has been taking a more massive toll on my mental health than I wanted or realized. So I’m experimenting with less distractions, deeper relationships, and living in the moment—like we somehow managed to do 20 years ago without panic!

Have y’all met my dad? He’s flown me home twice, come out to Hawaii twice, and helped me with the Haleiwa Arts Festival- all in one dang year! I do not think I can appreciate him any more than I do and then he just keeps being the best dad!
