A Designer’s Guide to London ✨
A few of our favorite places to stay, shop, source, eat, and wander, all through the eyes of an interior designer.
Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour - Luxury Interiors was our main destination and an absolute must. Give yourself a full day, possibly two, because there is always one more showroom to see.
Afterward, we had lunch at The Ivy Chelsea Garden, which was amazing and perfectly located for continuing toward Pimlico Road. From showrooms and antique shops to Jamb London incredible architectural pieces and details, this entire area is made for wandering.
Then there is de Gournay... It is truly an experience. You will leave ready to commit to wallpaper, cover something in fabric, and accept that your home probably needs a little more whimsy.
London Basin Company Basin Company is full of beautiful vessel and undermount sinks that bring personality to the everyday, while the THG Paris showroom takes plumbing to an entirely different level. Check out their endless and gorgeous handle selections!
Liberty London is another must! Go for the iconic fabrics and home acessories, then explore the beautifully curated fashion, beauty & gifts.
We stayed at The Beaumont Mayfair Mayfair, a boutique Art Deco gem! Have dinner at The Rosi and do not leave without trying a Stormy Weather cocktail.
For dinner, Fenix Restaurant Mayfair was a 10/10 for both ambiance and food. Order the Athenian Taverna sharing-style dinner. It was amazing and made the entire evening feel like an experience.
(Not pictured) Fortnum & Mason is always worth a stop, from the interiors and homeware to the gifts and goodies.
Don't forget to notice the little details along the way. We loved all the signs for the loo. As silly as that sounds, they added a bit if charm we didn't know we needed.
Black cabs made getting around incredibly easy and became one of our favorite parts of the trip. So convenient and charming!
Finally, take the day trip to the Cotswolds. The limestone villages, antique shops, and storybook scenery are even better in person. Stop at The Eight Bells for lunch, and leave room in your plans, and possibly your luggage, for an antique find. They are so good here!
