These are process photos of a handmade pine island, with a Hard Maple butcher block top, I built for one of my favorite customers. She's wanted one for years to have a dedicated work space for baking. As a craftsman and hobby collector, my favorite projects are practical ones that I know someone will get years of work out of.
I wish the build photos were better quality and covered more of the process, but I've always had an issue with getting too invested in the work to remember to document it. Feel free to scroll through

It's that time of the year again.
I'll be in the wood shop more than usual for the next couple of months, getting ready for markets, and filling orders. My to-do list isn't too long yet, but it always fills up as the holidays approach.

With that being said, if anyone is interested in spoons, custom engraved butcher blocks, bowls, or anything you can fathom that I can craft for you, just let me know. Message me here or on Facebook.

(Custom-made Sofa Table) made from a weathered 10x10 pine beam, joined with hand carved dovetail joints.

This was a fun project, as well as a learning experience. This was my first time trying hand carved dovetails on something this big. I can definitely see more work like this in the future, maybe for a timber frame house?,who knows...
