Hey everyone. We promise to take you through the journey of turning this fire hydrant into one of our favorite lamps as of late, but for now, this is your reminder that custom lamps can take time to create. With the holidays upon us (yeah, we know, time is flying), be sure to reach out to us well in advance if you’re looking to gift something lit this year. Reach out with your ideas!

Look for a post about this particular lamp very soon.

👍❤️💡

***Delayed appreciation post***

The last two weekends were just wild for us.

First, we returned to Funky Ferndale Art Fair and had a great time there as expected. Everyone there was amazing from the artists to visitors. We really feel at home when slinging lamps in Ferndale, MI. We cannot wait to return next year.

Of course, once we got home, we had a couple of days to get things situated and then set up at Ohio Mart at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. There is just something so incredible about being part of this annual art fair in Akron. Being surrounded by some of our favorite vendors just makes for even a better experience. It was great to see so many of you!

If you checked us out over the past couple weekends here in Akron, or in Ferndale, thank you. It means the world to us that you gave some of your time to check out what we do regardless if you walked off with something or not.

We have a couple more shows lined up during the holidays, but are going to take the next month or so to start building some more of these craft lamps in order to get more people lit. See you soon or feel free to visit us at our showroom every Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM.💡❤️👍

Holy moly this show was amazing! We had such a blast this past weekend and enjoyed chatting it up with so many of you. Special shoutout to everyone we were able to get lit. We would love to see photos of your lamps at home! See you next time Funky Ferndale Art Fair!!! 💡👍❤️

To everyone who stopped by Funky Ferndale and took home a piece of art, a book, jewelry, a print, or something completely unexpected — thank you for supporting the artists who make Funky what it is. Every purchase helps keep creativity going.

Thank you for showing up, finding something you love, and taking a little bit of the funk home with you💛

Y’all, Funky Ferndale Art Fair has been a blast so far this weekend. Special guest Andy and Glenn have been loving getting so may people lit since it started. We have one more day left for this amazing art fair and hope to see you if you’re in the area! 💡❤️👍

You know, sometimes we are so busy making lamps that we overlook doing things...like REALLY overlook things... Back in 2024, Sasha the cat noticed a lamp calling to her one day in her home and just had to check it out. The lamp was actually sold to Sasha's cat person at One Of A Kind in Chicago and they captured this purr-fect picture once they got home. Apologies for the delay in sharing this, but we love the curiosity as well as seeing this lighting up the house! We have not made one of these phone lamps in a while....but we can, so let us know if you're interested in one and we can talk through ideas!

Labor Day honors and recognizes the American labor movement. We hope you and yours enjoyed this beautiful day and were able to relax.

We actually spent a few hours today catching up on orders and wiring up some lamps for some upcoming shows.

Speaking of movement, this one-of-a-kind cigarette lamp was moved out of our showroom this afternoon. This lamp has been hiding out in a corner for years and someone who stopped in today snagged it for their establishment. Once we get it installed we will share its new home. 🚬 💡

Y’all, we LOVE how this one came out. The Drumshanbo California Orange Citrus Gunpowder Irish Gin bottle lamp illuminates so nicely and has this vintage look to it. As we say at our shows, these bottle lamps will get you lit and you won’t need to worry about the hangover. 💡❤️👍

Hope everyone was able to unplug for a bit this weekend. We certainly enjoyed the break. The showroom will be open this Saturday from 11-4. Stop in and get lit!

Ben Franklin never said “a penny saved is a penny earned,” however, our pal Jake Kelly brought in this awesome Ben Franklin store sign for us to rewire.

Jake gave us a little insight on where this came from and he told us he found it at a junk store where it just so happened to be the same signage from the Wheeling store he visited often as a kid with his grandparents. The wiring was shot so he asked us if we could light it up again. We were happy to get it working again and now it’s a current childhood memory for Jake. Thanks for trusting us to get Ben re-lit! 💡👍❤️

New wave post-punkers Devo are playing Akron tonight and we could not think of a better way to show our love for them.

This is a one-of-a-kind skateboard lamp that was made from a deck out of Glenn’s personal collection and is not for sale, but if you happen to snag one of these decks yourself, we’d be happy to convert it into the ultimate art punk lamp!

If you’re going tonight and see any of us, make sure to say hi!
