Today, I celebrate another year of life, love, and growth.

I’m thankful for my family, for the courage to follow my passion, and for the incredible people I meet every day through my sewing studio. What started as a dream is becoming a reality, one stitch at a time.

Rainy skies couldn’t stop the excitement today! ☔✨

Our Summer Sewing Camp officially kicked off this morning with two amazing young sewists beginning their creative journey. Watching kids learn new skills, build confidence, and create something with their own hands is exactly why I started Sew + Reimagine.

This afternoon, our teen camp begins, and we can’t wait to see what they create too!

Happy Father’s Day to the man who helped build this dream from the ground up. ❤️

While everyone sees the sewing studio today, what they don’t see are the countless hours behind the scenes—moving furniture, hanging shelves, building tables, fixing things, encouraging me, and reminding me to keep going.

Pablo, you believed in this dream long before I did.

You are an incredible father to our girls, my biggest supporter, and my favorite partner in every adventure.

Thank you for always showing up, for believing in me, and for helping me build not only a business, but a life filled with purpose and love.

We couldn’t have done it without you.

❤️ Today I want to highlight someone special.

I met Helaine, owner of Heart of Helaine at Hartville MarketPlace. She has spent more than two decades building her business, collecting beautiful sewing treasures, and creating a space filled with creativity and history.

As we talked, she shared a simple piece of advice:

“Don’t give up.”

As a small business owner, mom, and dreamer, those words hit differently.

Sometimes the people who have walked the path before us don’t realize how much their encouragement can mean.

This morning, my family and I visited Hartville MarketPlace and stumbled upon something special.

We met Helaine, owner of Heart of Helaine, a beautiful vintage shop filled with fabrics, sewing treasures, dress forms, lace, and pieces of history that instantly made me smile.

As she showed me her sewing corner and shared stories from her 23 years in business, she gave me one piece of advice that hit me right in the heart:

“Don’t give up.”

As someone building a sewing business while raising a family and working full-time, those words meant more than I can explain.

Not every treasure is buried.

Sometimes it’s sitting in a basement, a closet, or tucked away in storage.

Today, one of my students brought in this beautiful Singer 503A, a sewing machine built in the United States more than 60 years ago.

She was excited to learn how to use it, and honestly, so was I.

There is something magical about hearing a vintage machine sew again after decades. It’s a reminder that beautiful things are meant to be used, not forgotten.

Whether your sewing machine is brand new, vintage, inherited from a family member, or hasn’t been touched in years, bring it to class.

Today, my student learned how to read a pattern, mark fabric, cut, sew, use a serger, press seams, and create her very own skirt with pockets.

The finished skirt is beautiful, but my favorite part is watching her confidence grow throughout the process. ✨

At Sew + Reimagine Summer Camp, kids learn so much more than sewing. They learn patience, problem-solving, creativity, and the joy of saying, “I made this myself!”

✨ From fabric to a finished skirt with pockets!

Today my student learned how to cut fabric, use a serger, press seams, sew pockets, and assemble her very own skirt. 💛

One of my favorite parts? She used her own sewing machine, Violet. 💜

Watching students build confidence and realize “I made this!” never gets old.

Sewing isn’t just about making clothes—it’s about learning patience, problem-solving, creativity, and believing in yourself.

And let’s be honest… every skirt is better with pockets. 😍
