When someone we love passes away, traditions, faith, and family customs can bring comfort and meaning to the way we say goodbye.

For some Polish families, the dove carries a beautiful symbolism — representing the soul’s journey to heaven. While a live dove release may not be practical for every memorial service, a dove can be incorporated into a plant or floral arrangement as a lasting tribute.

We especially love the idea that the dove can then become part of the family’s Christmas tree each year, creating a special moment to pause, remember, and honor someone who is no longer with us. 🤍

While this photo is absolutely adorable, there’s an important pet-safety reminder behind it: tulips are toxic to dogs, and the bulbs can be especially concerning if ingested.

Sunflowers Deconstructed 🌻

Did you know there’s more to a sunflower than those beautiful yellow “petals”?

The yellow outer petals are actually called ray florets, while the dark center is made up of hundreds of tiny disk florets. When the ray florets begin to wrinkle or fade, you can gently remove them while the center and stem are still looking good — and suddenly, you have a completely different look!

We love this kind of floral transformation because sometimes a flower just needs a little reimagining. 🌻
