Here are some more details about my Alzheimers fundraiser. The picture shows some of the cards that will be available for you to make. I will also have one or two of the Silly Old Bear (Winnie the Pooh) cards as well. Supplies will fluctuate so as I run out of one, I will substitute another. I run it like a "card buffet". You pick a bin from the "Buffet" with a card you want to make (you can make one, two or all five), take it to the table, supplies are in the bin for that card alone. When finished, return it to the "buffet" and pick another. It will be five cards for $15. Pay at the door, but you will need to pre-register to get your time slot. You will go home with 5 cards, I will be turning the money into Alzheimer's Research. If you want to donate more, that is appreciated as well. I am doing this June 21 - June 25 with time slots for up to four people. Mornings 10:30am, afternoons, 2pm, evenings 6pm. Pick your time slot. I am allowing 2 hours even tho the cards are simple - I know how my ladies like to visit!! Various greetings will be available so you can fit cards to your needs. I may add in Sunday June 28, since the 21st is Father's Day. Alzheimers does this on the first day of summer as that is the longest day (daylight) of the year and Alzheimers is considered the Longest Goodbye. Hopefully this link will take you to my official "Stamp Out Alzheimers" fundraising page. https://events.alz.org/fundraisers/alvinacook/stamp-out-alzheimers

Lots of pictures today. Over the long weekend I did some stamping, die cutting and assembling!! In the Online store there are a couple products I like. One is 12x12 designer paper called Silly Old Bear (SU!'s take on Winnie the Pooh). There are dies to coordinate with the paper - actually two bundles. One with stamps and dies of the animals (Pooh, Piglit, Tiger, Roo, etc) and the other with word stamps and dies of labels (that could be used for other items as well) that fit this paper wonderfully! So I spent two afternoons and created 13 cards!! Each DSP package comes with 12 pages - two of each design so I have another page left to make 13 more cards! I made about four cards then ran out of ideas so I looked back at my templates and finished the rest off in no time!! I used templates 39, 46, 48, 50, 52 and 58 see if you can tell which card uses which one! More details by each photo. Thanks for lookin'!

I am doing a fundraiser the week of June 21. Watch my page and your email for more details - like times, days, etc. I will hold several sessions all week long. Make 5 cards for $15 - you go home with five cards - and your money goes to Alzheimer's Research.

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

While perusing the internet I came across a post by Cindy Sheaffer using this technique. She called them "Eclipse" cards. I have done eclipse cards before but usually with an alphabet die - I raised the letters over their cut-out space. This one uses designer paper on top of designer paper with no cut outs. I took several pictures so I can explain and instruct as I go. Details by each photo. Have fun experimenting with all that paper you have stashed away (you know you do!!) 😉 thanks for Lookin'!

once again, not a template to share, but remember, you can make a template (or pattern) out of any card you see! These are from the March Paper Pumpkin. I wasn't too sure, with the previews but I saw there were hummingbirds so I got it. I love it!! It was fun and easy to change around. These cards definitely look better in person - the camera leaves off something. So, here are a couple "other" ideas for you if you have this kit. More details by the photos. Thanks for lookin'!

No template today, instead I have some scrapbook pages to share. As you can see from my cookie scraps page photo - we have 5 box gardens. We are pretty proud of our work making them and since I was taking photos to document our work last spring, I decided to put them in a scrapbook. I ended up with 14 pages but only showing 8 here. More details by the photos. Thanks for lookin'!

Stampin Up! shared a template so I thought I would try it out. It's a very busy one -- when I first looked at it, I thought it was one of those mazes - where you are the mouse on the outside trying to get to the cheese in the center!! But no,, it is a bunch of different sized boxes! And they don't have to be boxes or box shaped. This template really would work nice with a bunch of flowers!! My first thought was the Postage stamp dies - which actually are almost too big. More details by each photo. Thanks for lookin'!

a last minute Christmas idea using leftover Christmas designer paper some ephemera and an envelope board. I used 5x5 scraps and the gift card setting on the envelope board. These fit gift cards perfectly but also fit those Ghirardelli candy squares!! Merry Christmas - may you have a Blessed Holiday with your loved ones!!
