Dark Clay Series!! Here to demystify working with glazes on darker clay bodies. Starting off the series with the Fantasy Family over , Chocolate Clay. Through our own testing we have selected glazes that perform well on this clay body.

Glazes are likely to have varying results depending on the clay body and with dark clay bodies sometimes they are incompatible. Testing can help you decide what type of application and firing settings will provide the results you want. More pigmented glazes show better results in comparison to a more translucent glaze - the dark clay body may darken or fully absorb the color.
