This year has been phenomenal beyond words. Truly, this move to Washington was one of the best decisions I have made (and I’m honestly not known for making the best decisions in my personal life 😂). I am so thankful for the friends who led me here and their generous, loving hearts. I’m also beyond thrilled with all
of the new friends I have made this last SIX months.

Despite an early TSWV scare that required the culling of 600 brand new Australian cuttings, the dahlia field has performed better than I could have hoped. I don’t know what I did different in my 56th year, but I sure am hopeful for more good things. 😁

I’m looking for inputs of you have a moment. I’d like to know your preference for when you like to receive your dahlia tubers. If you have a second, would you mind replying with the month (including fall months for those of you in the Southern states!) and the State your from?

I think as sellers we do what works best for us, but I’m curious to know what works best for you! Thanks in advance.

Do you grow dahlias from seed? This is my first year and I am hooked! I grew about 500 seedlings. Some were awful, many were okay-ish, and a handful were WOW! I'm a firm believer that just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I'm looking for varieties that are special, unique, and exciting. I'm still working through what will pass onto their 2nd year. Let me know if you see one you like!

Here is another of my first year seedlings. I’ve got a number of them that don’t really know what they want to be, which is a little confusing as a first timer. The plant is prolific and the stems are good, so it gets a 2nd year.

Well, good news and bad news here. The bad news is that I tested positive for Covid yesterday. That in itself is an anomaly given how actively I avoid contact with other humans 😂😂. I knew it was different the moment the fever hit. I’ve only had it once—way back in early 2020–and it took me down for a really long time. The good news? Well, I’ll be catching up@on posting some new varieties in between sleeping sessions. I’m already going a little stir crazy being stuck in bed!! Enjoy and be well!! 💕

This is Irish Lil Red, hybridized by the amazing Sandy and Steve Boley of Birch Bay Dahlias. I could write all day about how much I love them, but for now you should know Lil Red is all that and a bag of chips. I swear it’s red and beige. Beige!! Never have I ever seen a beige flower. It’s just the best. And, not bragging for them or anything, but it won the Darryl W. Hart medal from the American Dahlia Society in 2025! Don’t know what that is? Head over to the to learn more and become a member. PS…it’s kind of a big deal ❤️

This is my first year to grow seedlings. I just didn’t have the bandwidth until now and I wanted to make sure I gave it proper attention. I’ll post some of the others (good and bad!), but here’s one I’m pretty excited about. I did not track seed parents last year…still room for improvement…but I call it, “if Zahradnik Dragon had a baby.”

Newly released in 2026, 20th Ave Eyes is another Rich Gibson home run. I was lucky enough to snag tubers from at , and this is a front runner for favorite non-waterlily dahlia this year. This BB-FD-WH honey measures nearly 6” in my field and has grown well over 6 feet tall. It’s difficult to capture how stunning she is in just a single photo. More to follow!

Believe it or not, fall is coming! Gosh, it's all gone too quickly. The good news, I suppose, is that farming full-time is allowing me a greater degree of organization and time to prepare. I love it! I thought it would be fun to start sharing what we grew this year. There are no guarantees I can have it all in the Spring sale, but I'm going to do my best!
