Friday July 31st 2026 will be RETIREMENT DAY for Prairie Notions Fabric Shop.

It all started in 2001 and we have had the extreme pleasure of providing you with the inspiration, tools/notions and fabric to build your own quilt memories. Whether it was at a Quilt show, a retreat, a guild meeting, or in the store we have served so many customers who became friends and family and we will miss you. After 26 years it is time for Pamala and Paula to enjoy a slower life, with new family members (2 new grandbabies are coming in June and October) & maybe even attend a quilt show or guild meeting just because they feel like it.

🧵What are the next 90 days going to look like?

Starting Tuesday May 5th thru July 31st - the entire store inventory will be on sale at 50% off sticker price. Some fixtures we are keeping for our home studios, but we are willing to talk if you see something you can use. We are still accepting quilts for longarm quilting, but, we are not taking commission quilts during our transition. In full disclosure we will not be going lower than 50% for the sale price due to Paula's plans for the future.

🪡 You might now be wondering, what are Paula’s plans??

She will continue to quilt and plans to still be a Certified Instructor for Studio 180 Design (Deb Tucker Tools). So look for her at Quilt Guild meetings and Sewing Groups with her programs, quilting workshops or Vending at your local Quilt Show featuring the tools/notions. You may even see her teaching a class or two at your local quilt stores. You can follow/contact her on both Instagram & Facebook, as well as her personal page for family updates.
