The last few weeks have been BUSY with Homecoming flowers! Here are just a few of our favorites!

Allen Flower Shop has always been here for all of life’s moments, and Homecoming brings back some of my favorite memories.

I remember when my mom was the only florist in town. She made every Homecoming mum FRESH…..yes, with a real mum!

Then she would get so busy with the dance flowers that sometimes she had to meet kids in the parking lot to hand off their flowers as they were on their way to the dance! 🤪😂

Those were the days….crazy, long hours, knowing everyone in town AND knowing who everyone’s date was! 😳

Allen has certainly grown and Homecoming has changed, but one thing hasn’t: Allen Flower Shop is still here, celebrating these special moments with our community.

Since 1972. Still family-owned. Still creating memories. 👇Drop us a note if you had a mum or dance flowers from my mom! 👇

Flowers have a beautiful way of saying what words sometimes cannot.

When you’re honoring the life of someone you love, every detail matters. Whether it’s their favorite flower, a special color, or a design that reflects who they were, we consider it an honor to create something meaningful and personal.

For generations, families have trusted Allen Flower Shop to help celebrate lives, share love, and bring comfort during difficult moments.

A few from the last couple weeks that were created with love.

Running a small business definitely comes with its challenges.

In 54 years, Allen Flower Shop has been through all kinds of economic climates, changes, and ups and downs. But let me tell you… the equipment breakdowns have been coming for us this year!

In April, we had to replace our front display cooler. Then this past month, we had to replace parts on our walk-in cooler. I know the compressor has been replaced at least once over the years…but THIS old condenser?

This baby was pulled out after 54 YEARS of service! 😳

I’d say she served us VERY well. Fifty-four years in a flower shop is pretty impressive!

And anyone who knew my mom, Carolyn, knows exactly what she’s been saying up in Heaven:

“Well, it’s Ginger’s problem now.” 🥹😂

Thanks, Mom.

Just another chapter in the story of a little family flower shop that’s been keeping flowers cold and Allen blooming since 1972.

54 years and still blooming…even if we have to replace a few parts along the way!

Finding older treasures is always so much fun and we have a lot!

I recently came across an old newspaper ad that shows just how long Allen Flower Shop has been a proud member of the Allen Chamber of Commerce. Fun fact we were actually a Chamber member before it became an official Chamber.

And then I found this fun 1981 football poster!

So many of the businesses listed in these are no longer here…but we are! Still here. Still family-owned. Still serving the community that has supported us for generations.

And what perfect timing! High school football season kicks off tonight! There’s just something special about Friday night lights, hometown traditions, and looking back at where it all started.

Since 1972, Allen Flower Shop has been part of Allen’s story, and we’re incredibly proud to continue that legacy as Your Texas Treasure Historic Business!
