Working on this neutral changing table/dresser was both fun and rewarding, because I knew it was going to serve a first-time mama and her little one. Many thanks to my client, Rachel, out in Colorado!
Most of the tools and techniques I used came from what I learned from Christina Muscari over time. Her tutorials were my introduction to the furniture refinishing world. (THANK YOU, Christina!) I stuck to for the chalk paints, using Hurricane Gray and Cotton. I bleached the top after sanding it down to bare wood. This technique was inspired by Kacha , whom I must also thank for her educational videos. (THANK YOU, Kacha!) Finally, I sealed the entire piece using Flat Out Flat topcoat. (My favorite matte topcoat.)
The original legs were all gone, except for one (zoom in on the thumbnail of the before photo.) So, I enjoyed building a new base for this dresser and then attaching feet that I got off of .
I wasn't happy with the condition of the drawers' interior, so I decided to use wallpaper from to line them.
All in all, I'm very happy with the final results and can't wait to ship this lovely one to its new owner!
