What the Flock Hand Dyed Yarns is a small home based yarn business in Allentown, PA that was created from the mind of (Me) Joe Cole. was born out of pure passion, obsession and madness over fibers, yarns and colors. Unhappy with even box store brand natural fibers, I wanted more. Not even my local yarn shop could satisfy my urge for color. There just wasn't the right combinations and brightness I

was looking for. So I decided I need to make my own yarns that I enjoy and I know others would enjoy as well and put a smile on everyone's face who sees the yarn. Each yarn is a one of a kind dye job from color to size, no dye lots here. We even have hand spun yarns personally spun by me that are dyed as well. Our commercially spun yarns are produced and supplied in Nazareth, PA and the dyed in Allentown, PA. So come have a look , enjoy the beautiful colors and pick yourself up something to while you're at it ;) I know you'll love our yarn.

New pattern Release y’all!!! This is the Culebra Shawl (Spanish for snake but named after Culebra Island in Puerto Rico-my favorite beach location 😉). Culebra’s design is a simple offset ribbed pattern that can be knitted with either a DK, Aran, or Worsted weight yarn. The shawl is great for those that like that slinky stretch. The pattern is available through Ravelry under “Culebra Shawl” or on Etsy as “Culebra Shawl Pattern”. The yarn I used is my very own colorway “Coney Island” dyed by Joe Cole of . Wow, what an amazing weekend but glad it is over. Met so many amazing people from other vendors to customers who had followed me for a long time.
