Breaking my social media silence... eeeek! Since I posted last I have graduated from CMU (fire up chips forever!) and accepted a full-time job teaching K-3 (Go Eagles!) AND got married! Sooo... allow me to reintroduce myself:

I am Grace CARY! I am a full-time teacher & busybody. My hobbies include animal care (dogs, goats, cats, chickens), reading, farming, motorcycles, DIY projects, teaching and anything crafty! I have enjoyed making home decor as the Appaloosa Artist since 2020.

As I navigate life as a full-time working adult + all the other fun things adulting brings, I am excited to still be the Appaloosa Artist! Most of my painting time takes place only on the weekends now, but I am excited to still be able to craft custom signs for YOU!

I haven't posted much at all because I have been crazy busy... but here I am slowing down on a Sunday & feeling like pos...

I haven't posted much at all because I have been crazy busy... but here I am slowing down on a Sunday & feeling like posting a recent project.

I did *not* buy a new house or sell mine BUT I had to test out the key to make sure it would look right in pictures😂

A key cutout + the house cutout + the sold cutout which required a second cutout behind the areas not affixed to the house... I wanted to make sure the word wasn't out there flapping in the wind.

Challenging projects = fun projects

I think (heavy emphasis on the think) I am all caught up on messages... if you sent me a sign inquiry and haven't heard back, shoot me another message. Messaging my Appaloosa Artist (Facebook or Instagram) page is the easiest way for me to ensure I get back to you! Both inboxes send notifications to the same app on my end so I kind of keep all of my Appaloosa Atrist correspondence in one location.

Working on work/life/art balance over here! I have actually said "no" for the first time ever to a project that was outside of my scope (it was hard). BUT! I have also taken on some newer challenges that are within my capabilities. For example, check out these cute dog cutouts! A great addition to a Scrabble tile wall!

Thanks, as always, for being great and supportive. I love that I get to have art in my life, but I am also in control of the time I dedicate to it.

I love these 3D last name signs & I love that I got to make it for my best friend, who now has a new last name🥹🥹

P.s. the bride is also my “hair lady” & this is a 10/10 formal 5 star recommendation to hit her up, or any of her co-workers at Headliners Salon in Mt. Pleasant!

Doing Appaloosa Artist tasks before I go to school in the morning isn’t how most days start… but I have been trying to catch up from the last 15-ish days of pure busyness so to the barn in “teacher clothes” I went!
