Brought this vintage beauty in today. She’s iron and brass, 6 feet wide by 7 feet tall, and was made in Paris, France. The contrast of the brass against the black iron is stunning. It doesn’t get much better than this! 🇫🇷

I love antique garden pieces and architectural elements, which I try to carry in my booth whenever I find them. But seeing them in their natural surroundings is so exciting and inspiring. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish I could have taken a piece of back home with me! 🤭

Teak has been used for centuries, primarily in marine applications, due to its unparalleled durability. In the late 19th century, Lister Teak, the company who made the dining set in this photograph, began making teak garden furniture, including the first teak benches to be used in England’s parks. I love the history and durability, but what I love the most is how teak ages to a beautiful silvery-gray patina!
