In 2010, I was selling my handmade items but the market took a hit and I could no longer make as much money as I had been in the previous years. I was at a vendor event and was using a Tupperware sandwich container that had a crack in it. There was a Tupperware consultant th

ere that informed me that it was covered under warranty and submitted a claim for me. I was impressed that I received a replacement so easily that I took a closer look at the Tupperware opportunity. I also took a closer look at how many items in my kitchen really needed to be replaced. It seemed like a practical choice to sign up to represent Tupperware. Since then, I grew to love the products even more. I began to see the difference the products made in keeping my food fresh, cooking and clean up easier and helped organize my home. After 12 years, I have proven to myself that the products I have purchased for myself have more than paid for themselves by not having to be replaced like the previous cheaper choices that I made. As for the income, let me just say that we are now completely debt free. Signing up for Tupperware is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Many of you have seen or heard things in the news that Tupperware might be going out of business. I would like to address those issues.
I am planning to carry on with my business as usual. I still have lots of inventory on hand as well. We do not know what the future will hold but Tupperware is doing it's best to make sure it continues with the same quality products that made them such a household name. Like most other direct sales companies, Tupperware has had to make many changes to allow for the effects from Covid. This includes upgrades in software, more people working from home, difficulties transporting inventory and supplies, staffing in the warehouses...to name a few. Gas prices have gone up overall so shipping costs have gone up with them. Unfortunately, prices have had to be increased to cover all the excess costs.
Tupperware stated: we’ve engaged financial advisors to review and improve the financial position. We are continuing to operate our business as usual. Ensuring we avoid any sales disruption is our highest priority and we’re committed to continuing to provide you with excellent products and service.
Personally, I am glad they are bringing in financial advisors to review the issues. It never hurts for fresh eyes to look a problem and see it from a different point of view.
