On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Amarillo Police Department Homicide Detectives have obtained a murder warrant for a second suspect in connection with the shooting at the Westminster Apartments.

Eh Gay Htoo Win, 20, has been in custody at the Potter County Detention Center since May 2, just hours after the shooting occurred. His original charges included Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon by a Gang Member, Tampering with Evidence, and Failure to Identify. A Murder charge has now been added.

APD Homicide Detectives are still seeking a third suspect connected to this incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.

We also want to reassure the families of the injured victims and the public that investigators are continuing to pursue charges related to the 10 victims who survived the shooting.
