So i want to share something with you all.
today, Wednesday, at 10am, i attempted to head outside to do our usual fun spiel about the specials etc. A extrmely tall, older fellow dressed all in black decided to block my way.
I asked him to please move back a bit.
He refused to do so. I asked him agsin, refused again. He then proceesed to tell me I was the one who had to move as he was waiting exactly where my boss told him to wait and i should just listen to my boss like he was. I akwardly laughed it off, after all, i didnt know him, and clearly he didnt know me. This customer then felt it was ok to press his body over mine and tell me again that I should toe the line.
I managed to squirm away and began to share with our waiting regulars what I’d wanted to say before being body blocked.
At the end I welcomed everyone in and possibly dropped in that as the owner, it was always my privilege to spend time with them.
Instead of being contrary or even politely embarrassed (or show some kind of remorse or contrition for being super inappropriate by touching me or making assumption about my roll) he then tracked me down in the store and tried to touch me again, as I was jumping away, making it clear I didn’t want his hands on me he said “I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings precious princess”
Hurt my feelings?
Seriously mate.
I’m a short, cranky, perimenopausal middle aged woman, my body hurts from a decade of shlepping furniture, raising a toddler which means i havent slept for 5 years and in addition have recently started taking antidepressants because one of my extremely fantastic symptoms of middle age misfortune and menstral misfirings are feelings of rage.
And you want to touch me without permission and then insult me?
When you All see me next, please congratulate me on keeping my cool and not booting him out on his assests. But, be assured, I’ll be sure to do it wearing my sparkly tiara, because you gross old toad, I’m not a precious princess, I’m a goddamn QUEEN!

PS: the touching wasn’t s*xual in nature, it was designed to intimidate. It was unwelcome.
