I take immense pleasure in my craft room, but it can sometimes feel somewhat secluded. To dispel the silence, I will be at the Angier Chamber of Commerce on Monday, June 1st, from 9am until noon, where I will demonstrate the art of creating a Junk Journal. I will transform a local business shopping bag into the cover of the journal and add signature pages to complete the Journal. If time permits, I will add embellishments to the Journal. Please stop in and introduce yourself, and while in town, take the opportunity to explore some of the local shops. Angier Chamber of Commerce

This weekend was a sit back, relax and be thankful for all I have. My almost 4 year old grandson and I strolled through mystical forests. With his imagination we slayed dragons, fought trolls under a foot bridge, watched spiders weave webs, and made magic wands from branches. We crawled under bent branches, jumped over logs decorated with mushrooms and discovered Easter Bunny tunnels. Then we came across a water with a pirate boat resting along the shore. We ventured back to mom with mud from head to toe. I’d say that’s a great day spent with my grandson.

Yesterday, I received a special request for a winter woodland bird feeder. Despite the vines not being in season, I managed to complete the wreath, which is now traveling to a home in New Jersey. I hope the Jersey birds will appreciate perching on it as much as the North Carolina birds do. I regret not taking a photo before it was delivered to the buyer.

I love flowers. I love all the color, sizes and smells but my favorite of all is the dandelion. I love dandelions so much I incorporated one into my logo. Fairies and dandelions work together to make our wishes come true. The pretty wild growing yellow flower transforms into a mystical flume. When blown with a wish they call upon fairies to carry our wishes away.
Here is how to make your fairy float aways. The kids will certainly enjoy them and the story as well.
1 - Pick a bud after yellow is gone
2 - Pierce a thin wire or threaded string through the bud.
3 - Do not touch for a few days but watch each day as your fly away wish garden grows.
4 -when ready blow and make a wish .

PS. My 4 year old grandson always wishes for chocolate cake.
