A2UP is a community-sourced, eco-friendly business that collects craft supplies & materials and distributes them back to the Ann Arbor DIY community using a participatory pricing structure (read: pay as you wish!). The idea is that we make all those unused & unwanted craft supplies hidden in people's closets, attics, & basements available at an affordable rate to artists, crafters, & families who

want to avoid paying exorbitant prices at large retail chains. A2UP's retail store will be open during set hours, and will feature open studio times, classes, drop-in crafting opportunities, parties, and events.

A2UP News - Store Closing

I'm sorry to announce that the Ann Arbor Upcycle Project storefront is closing. It'll be open for the last time this Saturday, Aug 9th, 12-4pm. Things will be priced to sell, so be sure to stop by and pick up some arts & crafts supplies, there's a bunch of great stuff still available!

To all who have supported A2UP this summer, I thank you! It has been an incredible journey, and I am forever grateful to my husband, family, friends, and people I've met along the way for all your help, advice, crafting ideas, and encouragement.

I hope that A2UP has in some way inspired everyone it's reached to think about things they can creatively repurpose rather than discard. And, although the storefront might be disappearing, I'm not done getting crafty on the cheap with you all just yet! Keep looking out for updates via Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest for inspiration and information on future upcycling events.

Happy to announce that during Art Fair next week, A2UP will be featuring the incredibly unique artwork of Tom and Ann Gladwin of Red Barn Studios.
