I didn’t start this business through the lens of financial growth, I started it with a passion for making things special and pretty through embroidery.
15 years in, I’m looking at from the other side and saying to myself, “Well, Shhhii*t”
Embroidery is beautiful, it is time consuming and it is EXPENSIVE!

If I were to start all over again, I would only change one thing…I should have charged a lot more from the beginning!

One of my favorite parts of designing products has always been finding that sweet spot between form and function.

Years ago, I couldn’t find a tree skirt that gave me the look I wanted. A round skirt under a round tree just felt like a missed opportunity to create a beautiful, substantial base — so I designed a square one.

54” square, simple cotton, beautifully made, and designed to frame the tree (and eventually all those presents 🎄) rather than disappear underneath it.

It ended up becoming one of our most popular holiday pieces at Annapolis Pillow Company — which is always the best kind of validation when you design something simply because you think, there has to be a better way to do this.

And lucky for me, I tucked away a limited number from our original production run in several colors.

One of my favorite business stories because honestly…who could make this stuff up?

In 2024, Annapolis Pillow Company got its biggest order ever: 250 pillows for the 119th Congress.

Fast forward to April 2026, and the King of England comes to the United States and somehow ends up sitting on one of those pillows during his press conference with the Speaker of the House.

I mean. 😂

You just never know where a little embroidered pillow is going to take you.

Inserts explained. This is what we do all day, so we better have a good explanation!

When to use Poly Insert vs. Down(25/75)??
🔹Poly🔹
Smaller pillows that need to keep their square or rectangular shape. Typically in a more casual setting.
And always outdoor. Preferably, a poly insert with a non-woven cover for pillows that will be getting wet.

🔹Down 25/75🔹
I prefer to use 25/75 for all my higher end pillows, no matter the size. Even if it’s a small pillow like the one shown in the video. The fabric is premium, so the insert should be as well.
Note: size up when ordering down inserts.

This custom piece was created in memory of Eddie Giacomin, former New York Rangers player, to be placed in his memorial garden — a special place to remember a life, a career, and the impact he had on so many.

We’re honored to have played a very small part in creating something that will live on in his memory. 💙❤️

Printed vs. Embroidered. Printed Fabrics are awesome, but not what we do. Embroidery its own category of decor. If your are looking to get into a wildly profitable business, do not go into embroidery 😂

Whoa, that was a storm! Now before you all make fun of me for taking shelter under a table, know this…we do not have a basement, we have windows on nearly every wall in every room of this house and I am from the Northeast. We do not know how to do tornadoes!
Also, I like to keep it real and recognize how terrible that selfie is 😂
