🔔🌿 The story behind my Guardian Wreaths 🌿🔔
Long before I made my first Guardian Wreath, I fell in love with the idea behind witch bells.
Across folklore and spiritual traditions, bells have long been associated with protection. Their sound has been used to cleanse a space, rid unwanted energy, and bring a sense of protection to the home. Modern witch bells carry pieces of those traditions forward, often incorporating meaningful objects, charms, herbs, stones, knots, and other protective elements.
That idea stayed with me.
But, naturally, I wanted to wander with it a little. 🌿
And that’s how my Guardian Wreaths began.
Each Guardian Wreath is created around its own feeling, intention, and story. I don’t start with a pattern or a list of pieces that need to be included. I choose stones, bells, colors, charms, natural elements, and other details based on the meaning and protective qualities they bring to that particular piece.
Sometimes a piece begins with a stone. Sometimes a color. Sometimes one tiny charm completely decides where the rest of it is going.
And sometimes I genuinely don’t know its story until I’m halfway through making it and suddenly everything clicks. ✨
That’s one of my favorite things about creating them.
Every element is chosen intentionally, and when the wreath is finished, its combination of materials gives it its own little personality and purpose.
I make them entirely by vibe, meaning, and instinct, which means I couldn’t recreate one exactly even if I tried.
No two Guardian Wreaths will ever be the same.
Each one gets its own number, its own name, and most importantly, its own story. 🔔🌿
They are my interpretation of an old idea: something beautiful at your doorway that doesn’t just decorate your space, but feels like it’s standing watch over it.
I know this was a long read but I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about where one of my favorite things to create came from and the meaning behind it all. 💛XO
