🎞️ Annie was released nationwide 44 years ago today on June 18, 1982.

🎬 Starring Aileen Quinn, Albert Finney, Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters, and Ann Reinking, Annie brought the beloved Broadway musical to the big screen with memorable songs like Tomorrow, It's the Hard-Knock Life, and Maybe.

After a limited release in just 14 theaters beginning on May 21, 1982, Annie expanded nationwide to 1,102 theaters on June 18 and went on to earn more than $57 million domestically, finishing as one of the ten highest-grossing films released in 1982.

▶️ Fun fact: Finding Annie took two years. Auditions ran in 22 cities, pulled in 8,000 girls, and narrowed to 70 finalists. Only nine made it to the second round.

👜The Antigo Area Community Food Pantry is back for our 3rd Annual Purses for the Pantry Designer Purse Bingo & Food Drive, October 30th 2026 at NorthStar Lanes.

Doors open at 4pm Bingo starts at 6pm

🎟$50 ticket includes 10 games of bingo w/2 cards, 25 raffle basket tickets, and door prizes.
