Kids love to play with 🔥 Mason on deck this time 💪🏼 Labor Labor and more Labor…. Always something to do around here! 🪒 Getting our queen excluders cleaned up to store so they are ready in the spring. 🌼 For those that don’t know these keep the queen from moving into our honey super boxes so we don’t get eggs mixed in with our honey production frames! 🍯 RARE occasions I’ve seen a virgin queen fit but once mated mommas to big to squeeze through 😅

🍁🍯🐝 Fall Harvest is Complete! ✅ Wrapped up pulling the last of the honey for 2026. In order to take the honey supers back to the extraction room you have to remove the bees of course! 🌪️ As you see here they are hustling to get back inside so we place a stick or small log to help the ones that don’t fly just yet. 🪜 Pretty wild to witness the organized chaos throughout the process. 😋 Our self serve Honeyshed is stocked so swing on by the farm and keep the economy going over here! Thank you! 🇺🇸

🐣 🐝 The Birds and the Bees are out in full swing on this sunny chilly day as we head into fall. The food sources are going away fast around the farm. We enjoy the changing of leaves 🍁 🍃 and the bees know that winter is in route and every bit of food is key to survival. ☃️ ❄️ 🧊

🤯 Most people know honey isn’t the same everywhere you go while others think honey is the same thing everywhere like it’s Heinz Ketchup or something…. (Don’t get me wrong who doesn’t like Heinz ketchup but it’s processed so maybe not best example) However most don’t know barrels and barrels of “honey” are imported, mixed and blended then basically marketed as local while sitting on the shelves looking all pretty when in reality it’s what we call China Syrup. Don’t be fooled by these labels that are “graded” honey or a product of…. Just think how many steps and processes go into these massive packers and where did it really come from??? Keep it simple visit your local beekeeper to learn about what they do and taste the difference. 🍯🇺🇸

🐝🍯🎰🇺🇸 After slicing off the wax capping by hand one by one the frames are spun out to extract the honey. Then the frames return to the bees to repair, reload and break my back 🤣 it truly is amazing! Our fall harvest will be wrapping up the end of the month so stay tuned! 🍁🌾🌼🌳
