Just wanted to post and give you the process of making vanilla extract! It’s pretty simple actually!
Step 1 buy bulk beans
Step 2 buy 70-100 proof alcohol of choice
Step 3 weigh beans and measure alcohol and put into glass jar!
Step 4 wait a FULL year!
Step 5 drain the liquid and bottle I to jars( to sell or use personally )
Step 6 reuse the vanilla beans! But only at half of the original weight
Step 7 redo step 1-4
Step 8 dehydrate beans
Step 9 blend them into powder
Step 10 put on baking sheet into oven at 200 degrees for 2 hours ( to make sure all moisture is gone )
Step 11 rebound them into fine powder.
Finally zero waste and very delicious vanilla extract and powdered vanilla beans to add into baking recipes
