G. William Miller (1979 - 1981)

Having served as Chairman of the Advisory Council to President Kennedy's Committee on Equal Employment Opportunities in the early 1960's and later as an outspoken member of the National Alliance of Businessmen, G. William Miller (1925 - 2006) was appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve by President Carter in 1977. As Fed Chairman he worked closely with the White House planning a joint assault on inflation by government, private industry, and labor groups. Appointed Secretary of the Treasury by Carter in 1979, Miller's plan was to find the fundamental causes of the country's economic problems and attack them. He successfully convinced Congress to extend unemployment benefits and encourage private investment by cutting taxes for individuals.

Every bill is uniquely identified by its bill ID. Bill ID is a random, system-assigned number. In some locales, bills have an additional identifier known as a "sequential bill number". Sequential bill numbers are system-assigned, sequential numbers. For example, the first bill produced by the system is assigned a sequential bill number of 1, the next bill is assigned a value of 2, etc. An additional requirement is that no gaps exist between the sequential bill numbers.

Coins are sometimes rubbed for good luck. This coin appears to have been rubbed a lot.

The 1826 Liberty Head Large Cent is a highly sought after US coin, and one that is becoming increasingly difficult to acquire. The coin’s age assuredly makes it desirable, but the design of the coin is also interesting and unique. These coins are extremely rare and will be a great addition to any collection, large or small.
On the obverse side of the 1826 Liberty Head, the center of the face is dominated by the leftward-facing Lady Liberty. Sitting upon the head of Lady Liberty is a band, within which the word “Liberty” is inscribed. Beneath the central image is another inscription, this one marking the 1826 year of minting. Finally, the outside of the obverse side of the coin features 13 stars, representative of the 13 original colonies of the United States.
