✨ Some of My Favorite Moments from May & Father’s Day Is Around the Corner ✨

As I look back on May, I can’t help but feel grateful. One of my favorite moments was partnering with The Joint Chiropractic to celebrate Mother’s Day and connect with so many wonderful members of our community.

I’m excited to share that for Father’s Day, Blossom Delight will once again be partnering with Dr. Joe and his amazing team at The Joint Chiropractic. More details and dates are coming soon, so stay tuned!

Father’s Day holds a very special place in my heart. Blossom Delight was created in memory of my late father, who always encouraged his children to dream big and pursue the paths that made them happy. From my childhood in Côte d’Ivoire to my adult life in the United States, he supported me through many chapters before I finally followed my passion and became a florist.

Today, every arrangement I create carries a story. Whether I’m teaching floral classes with seniors, designing for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, or simply creating something beautiful for your home, I believe that behind every petal, there is a story.

Thank you for allowing my flowers into your homes and your celebrations. Thank you for supporting a dream that began many years ago and continues to bloom every day.

And a special thank you to Dr. Joe and his team. As a florist, I spend my days lifting buckets, carrying vases, and creating installations, so I certainly appreciate the importance of taking care of my body!

🍜🌸 A Florist’s Favorite Comfort Food? Pho, of course. 🌸🍜

After a long day of early wholesale runs, conditioning flowers, teaching classes with my seniors, creating arrangements, and making deliveries across the DMV, there is one meal I always find myself coming back to: a warm bowl of pho.

There is something comforting about the rich broth, fresh herbs, and steaming noodles. Much like floristry, pho is all about balance, patience, and attention to detail. Every ingredient has a purpose, just as every flower in an arrangement tells a story.

As a florist, my days are often filled with creativity, deadlines, and a little bit of chaos. A bowl of pho is my reminder to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the simple moments before heading back to the atelier.

So if you ever see me taking a break from designing bouquets, chances are you’ll find me enjoying a bowl of pho and dreaming up my next floral creation. 🌿💐

People sometimes say, “Your job looks so easy.”

And you know what? They’re right.

It’s easy because I followed my passion.

When you wake up every day doing something you genuinely love, the work feels different. It doesn’t mean there aren’t challenges. It doesn’t mean there aren’t long days. It just means the passion makes it worth it.

I walked away from the corporate world to follow my dream of working with flowers. Anyone who knows me will tell you that my love for flowers is real. Flowers have been part of my story since I was a little girl, and somehow life brought me right back to where I was always meant to be.

Being a florist isn’t just putting flowers in a vase. It’s waking up before sunrise. It’s driving to the wholesaler. It’s finding out the flowers you planned for aren’t available and creating a new vision on the spot. It’s client meetings, deliveries, installations, problem-solving, and bringing someone’s dream to life through creativity.

It’s seeing a bride hold her bouquet for the first time. It’s helping a family celebrate a milestone. It’s watching flowers tell a story without saying a single word.

Yes, there are challenges. Yes, there are hiccups. But there is also joy.

So my advice? Follow your passion.

Life may take you through different cities, different careers, and unexpected turns, but never forget what makes your heart happy.

For me, it was always flowers.

Be kind to your florists. Behind every arrangement is an artist, a dreamer, a problem-solver, and someone working hard to create something beautiful.

Classes are in session with my wonderful residents today, and what better way to celebrate than with flowers that tell a story.

The sunflowers bring a burst of sunshine and symbolize happiness, loyalty, optimism, and strength. They remind us to always turn toward the light, even on challenging days. 🌻

The roses represent love, appreciation, and friendship, while the soft hydrangeas symbolize gratitude, understanding, and heartfelt emotions. Their lush blooms remind us of the beauty found in community and connection. 💐

The fresh eucalyptus and greenery add texture, movement, and a sense of renewal. Greenery represents growth, resilience, and new beginnings—something we can all embrace no matter our age. 🌿

One of my favorite parts of teaching floral design is hearing the stories that flowers bring back for my residents. Every stem holds a memory, every bloom starts a conversation, and every arrangement becomes a work of art.

🌿✨ First Week of June at Blossom Delight ✨🌿

The first week of June is off to a beautiful start at Blossom Delight. Between teaching floral classes with my wonderful seniors, creating floral arrangements, preparing orders, and spending time in the atelier, it has certainly been a busy and rewarding week.

One of my favorite parts of this journey is watching flowers bring people together. Whether it’s a resident creating their very first arrangement, a client receiving a bouquet for a special occasion, or a lobby floral installation brightening someone’s day, every stem tells a story.

This week has been filled with blooms, creativity, laughter, and gratitude. As a small business owner, there are long days behind the scenes, but moments like these remind me exactly why I followed my passion.
