I have never been into these trends, but if the customer wants it I’ll do it. I’ve never been into white colors or grays. White is plain to me and too hard to keep clean. Gray reminds me of prison colors. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Every trend cycle wears out its welcome, and this year was no different. Here are the looks we're kicking to the curb as 2023 ends.

I had the challenge designing this bathroom into a bachelor’s bath with a touch of elegance. I think we did a pretty good job!

And ya that yellow was not painted. It was wallpaper. Luckily it was less painful that I thought it would be to remove since they installed over paint.

Yeah not const related, but this brought tears to my eyes. It’s a good watch and man how I can relate! I have a normal full time job. But I have other gifts. I love to help people. I love design and remodeling, bringing my visions to life and seeing happy customers with their new spaces. I also do mediumship. I love doing readings for people and bringing them comfort from the other side of lost loved ones. I get asked a lot “Why is construction and design not your full time job? This is your calling! You should have your own TV show”…..I wish, I really do. Do either of these pay the bills and or provide needed insurance and retirement for myself and family? No they don’t. Do I wish the did? Yes! Are they constant guaranteed income. No they’re not. I would love to have construction as my full time normal job but it’s just not feasible. And I can hear Stacy now….”Not yet girl, but it’s coming!” 😆 Maybe someday….Maybe when I retire from my normal 9-5, but maybe someday I’ll be so busy I’ll be able to take that leap and pursue my true passions and use the gifts God gave me to the fullest extent.

And last but not least at the beach house…I did some extra work because it was hard for me to do all those updates and not pay any attention to any of the other spaces. Nothing much. I just did a little decor, curtains and bed sprucing as there’s a weekend bridal shower retreat happing there currently. I just couldn’t not do it. I brought up all my extra Airbnb bedding and decor and made these spaces just a little extra with a bridal gift. Also added a new table cloth and floral arrangement to the dining room. The light in the dining room is also new. All the light fixtures in the home were replaced.

The beach house. I should have noted in my initial post that this home was built in 1957 and was never renovated or updated from the day it was built other than adding the second floor some years later. It got some much needed love and attention.

This is the first floor bathroom and last room we had construction work to complete. It’s not completely finished, but enough that I’m ready to share pics. We still have the window to paint, touch up work and I’m not finished with decor. This room was 💯 gutted. The only things saved were the toilet and tub. All of the walls were removed as they were plaster. All new dry wall Schluter shower system installed and it’s amazing. The owner never saw any of the progress on this room like they did on the others so it was a complete shock when she saw it finished for the first time and again the tears came. She couldn’t believe we were able to transform it the way we did.

The beach house…the first of two bathrooms. This was and is now the second floor bathroom. This was probably the challenge that I feared the most, I don’t know both of the bathrooms had their own challenges, but I knew this was going to be a lot of work. The tub was cast iron and took a full day to cut up and haul out. The subfloor had to be completely replaced as well as a good portion of the drywall. We also had to move the shower wall to accommodate new shower pan. The end result again amazed myself and my client and this is where the real tears fell. 🥰❤️

Ok. Let’s start with the kitchen at the beach house. To say this home was a challenge is an understatement, but the end product even exceeded my expectations and vision. It’s absolutely stunning!!! We still have a few finish items to take care of, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share this transformation. And the home owner is in love with everything we’ve done. She actually cried when she got to see the results she was so happy. I couldn’t ask for a better thank you. ❤️

This bathroom was in desperate need of help. The shower was completely rotted out and leaking badly. The deepset spa tub was non-working. It looks amazing now! Talk about a dream bathroom!

I know there’s a lot of pictures here, but I think it’s impossible to have too many pictures of this gorgeous kitchen we completed. 😍 You’ll be amazed at the difference when you get to the before picture. I did all the decor, and I made the light above the island. I added a light above the pub table. I found the solid marble pub table at Bobs Discount Furniture and it nearly matches the countertops. We went with Aura Quartz counters and full backsplash. Ugh, it looks absolutely amazing! Sleek, elegant and definitely easier to clean. White shaker cabinets from Sheehan Cabinetry and added false panels to make the islands pop. Gold door and drawer hardware and gold faucet. New appliances. Massive 8ft island with seating on the end. New paint, drapes and an awesome little coffee center too. This kitchen has it all. I’ve never seen so much storage.

That about sums me up. 😂
