Patriae Boutique in Asbury Park, NJ specializing in new & vintage clothing, decorative objects, & home goods.

Each piece in P A T R I Æ’s collection of antique hemp and linen textiles is lovingly sourced by founder Barbara Pisch in and around her homeland of Slovakia. Historically, each family in this region harvested their own hemp and flax, and spun them into threads that were then hand woven into fabrics. From these fabrics, women hand sewed clothing, along with home and field goods such as towels, tablecloths, pillows, bedding, grain sacks, and wagon covers. The textiles in the P A T R I Æ collection date from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century, and are organic, as farming chemicals were not yet in use in this part of the world. The original goods in the collection are designed to highlight the character of each fabric. Simple bags, aprons, pouches, pillows, runners, and towels continue in the tradition of local production, handcraft, and utilitarian design.

We’re pleased to offer signe ceramics’s beautiful pieces in the shop. Sarah is based in Brooklyn and creates hand-built porcelain and stoneware pieces as a basic need to play with forms and shapes. The striations and subtle marbling in many of her pieces are due to the wedging process she uses to mix her clay bodies. DM us or visit for more info or shipping.

I worked closely with our friend Erinn of fonn to design a botanical room and linen spray based on my favorite scents, and she expertly crafted the scent of my dreams. Woodsy but warm and soft, with cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, chamomile, and vetiver, and made with all-natural ingredients, it doubles perfectly as a perfume spritz!
