I can’t read your mind…but I can read this.

And this is how I know exactly where everything should go before you spend a dollar.

No guesswork. No “let’s try it and see.”A plan that actually works.

If your home isn’t flowing the way you want it to, it’s not about buying more—it’s about getting the plan right.

I have space for 1–2 full-service projects this year.

A little green for St. Patrick’s Day—but designed for every day.

This bedroom is layered, tonal, and quietly grounding… the kind of space that shifts how you feel at the end of the day.

Spaces like this come from a clear vision and a fully considered process, down to the last layer.

I’m currently reserving one to two full-service design projects for this year. If you’re ready for a home that feels cohesive, elevated, and entirely your own, I’d love to connect.

Most homes don’t need more things.
They need a vision.

Most homes don’t need more furniture.
They need a clear vision — one that allows materials, art, and furnishings to relate to each other and create a sense of ease from room to room.

Thoughtful design isn’t about filling a space. It’s about shaping how a home lives and feels as a whole.

Most rooms begin with furniture.
My favorite ones begin with art.

In this home, the clients wanted their spaces to feel calm, warm, and connected to the hills outside their windows.

This painting was commissioned from Asheville artist , capturing the landscape surrounding the home. From there, the tones, textures, and materials throughout the house began to take shape.

When art leads the design, a home becomes something more than decorated.
It becomes deeply personal.

If you’re creating a home that deserves that kind of intention, you can learn more about working together at JenniferSmith.design.

Most homes don’t need more furniture. They need a cohesive vision.

Most people think interior design starts with picking a sofa, a rug, or a paint color.

But the most beautiful homes are rarely designed one room at a time. They’re created with a vision for how the entire home should feel — where materials, colors, and art flow naturally from space to space.

That’s why most Jennifer Smith Design projects begin with three or more rooms. It’s how a home becomes layered, cohesive, and truly personal.

Designing a home, not just a room.

Turns out… the person designing your home has been practicing for a while.

The kid who rearranged rooms for fun.
The one who could see the finished space before it existed.
The one cheering for the bold choice instead of the safe one.

Some things never change.

Now I help clients transform their homes through thoughtful space planning, layered design, and the confidence to do something a little more interesting than “safe.”

And yes… I still get just as excited about a great floor plan.

This nook didn’t always look like this.

When we first saw the space, it felt disconnected and underused.

The goal was to create a space that felt calm, layered additional seating space off the bedroom.

Design decisions included:
• reworking the furniture layout
• layering textiles and texture
• sourcing lighting that meets the needs of the space

Design works best when every element supports the whole room.

You’re ready for a designer when you want the result-but not the responsibility of managing every detail.

Support doesn’t mean giving up control. It means gaining clarity.

💚Save this for future-you.
