For many years, I didn’t make time for deep thinking and reflection. I felt like I had to constantly be working or doing because my worth was tied up in production. Get it done. Get to the next level. Produce more. Be more. Earn more. Modern life is challenging- noisy, chaotic, expensive- and TIME is a luxury. But, despite the long lists of things that need to get done, I’ve gotten to a point where I truly understand how important it is to STOP. To reconnect. To THINK. I recently went away for a few days all by myself. I stayed in a little cabin on a 50 acre alpaca farm. While it had electricity and a small fridge, it didn’t have running water or any amenities. I took a lantern so I could see my way to the outhouse in the middle of the night. 😂 It was SO quiet- which made me realize how I’m surrounded by constant noise, and how draining it can be. Since then, I’ve been thinking about how we live versus how people lived in the past. Especially in a world driven by technology and rising costs and political uncertainty. Here are some memories I brought home. I’d definitely recommend making some time for some quiet time. ❤️
