I’m chomping at the bit to get back in the shop tomorrow and see all of my customers! I’m not sure how Kathleen, Emily, and Chris make it through a six day break between shifts. Just want to say thank you to everyone who has come and celebrated our move these past 4 months (man, it’s flown by!!). Also, some lucky soul has a chance to pick up this amazing, vintage wool UGA Pendleton blanket in its original case!! We’ve taken it out and examined it thoroughly, not a single moth hole. In excellent condition with some color fading of the UGA logo. Be the coolest fan in Stanford Stadium once it cools down. Perfect for chasing that SEC crown again. $150

In 2021 when Jon Brookshire reached out to me about consigning some furniture, I was happy to visit my longtime customer’s home in Colbert knowing it would be filled with MCM goodies. What I was not expecting was to fall in love with all of the art that adorned the walls. When I inquired about them, Jon just kinda chuckled and pointed to the name, Brookshire down in the corners. As the story goes, his wife, Rosie, had bought him a paint kit and, like most of us would do, said thanks and stick it in a corner. Upon trying to decorate his home in Colbert, Jon and Rosie kept coming up short on finding art that really fit their aesthetic and space. Rosie reminded Jon that he still had that art kit she got him. Jon went to work! He sat down one day and just began to paint. As they were wrapping up their home in Colbert to put to sale, Jon wasn’t sure what to do with his piles of art. Luckily, I saw them, fell in love with many, and found new homes for them through Starlite. Well, Jon, now living in Raleigh, NC, was coming through Athens and reached out to see if he could bring me some more. Of course! We have 19 new “JB/Brookshire” paintings in ranging in size from 9” x 12” up to 72” x 48” (for a 2-panel painting). Prices range from $35 to $500. Do you have a Brookshire painting in your home that you bought at Starlite? Please send me some pics of what you have hanging. And as always, Come On In!!

Beautiful walnut bedroom suite by MCM designer (and charlotte’s grandfather) Arthur Umanoff for Dillingham. The set includes a large armoire, lowboy dresser, two mirrors, two nightstands (with glass tops) and a king size headboard. Style for miles and miles!!
