Sharing some big news. We have moved, again! We have found a home that we love and where we will be able to add our personal style. Needs some work, but we will put in the sweat equity to make it ours.
Building and designing our home as owner-builders in Florida has given us the tools and knowledge to tackle some exciting projects.

Our window view has me smitten.

Every day it seems there is a new burst of color in the surroundings. I love the surprise gifts that nature lays out with perfect timing each season.

Anyone else ready for spring? My biggest joy of the season is seeing new blossoms pop up everywhere.

I remember this succulent that hung outside the back door of our previous home. It didn’t ask much from me, but it always gave me a reason to smile and be in awe.

You don’t need a large space in your home to create a pretty and functional spot for Family Game Night. Here’s a view of our new space for board games and fun.

It’s become a popular place for our kids and their friends too. They pull out the games and puzzles and get comfy on the rug. The renovated China cabinet and large decorative basket provide storage and help keep things tidy.

Hi guys! It’s Jessica. Thought I’d pop in and say hello. This picture was taken for the thumbnail of my YouTube video for the French Cottage Basement Bedroom reno we recently did. Thought I’d use this one since it’s a rare occasion when I’m not covered in painted clothing,hair crazed, with no make up! Anyway, I’m enjoying the decorative process in our new house in Atlanta with occasional DIY projects my husband and I are doing on this 1969 home.

When we drive through the Decatur and Atlanta area, I’m always in awe of the beauty and character of both old and new homes that abound. I’m like a dog with its head glued to the window taking it all in!

I’m so grateful to all of you for following me and supporting me through the random shots that come up in my squares from time to time…means so much.

A nearby chair with an extra blanket is not a bad idea during these cold nights. I might actually keep this thrifted chair in my bedroom year round. It was placed there out of necessity but now I kind of like it’s rustic touch.
