🧶 MORE MALABRIGO TORZAL COLORS ARE HERE!

And Torzal isn’t just another pretty Malabrigo yarn. There’s something very cool happening inside those twists. 👀

Torzal is a 2-ply Sport/DK weight yarn made from 100% Superwash Merino Wool. But instead of dyeing the finished yarn, Malabrigo dyes the fiber first, then spins two strands of the same colorway together.

Because those strands never match up exactly, you get that gorgeous marled, almost handspun look—with little shifts of color running through every skein. That means even a simple stitch can look REALLY interesting. ✨

🧶 Question for our Needle Nook people!

We’re curious about something…

When you take your yarn home in one of our Needle Nook bags, what happens to the bag afterward?

Do you reuse it to store your yarn or projects? Save it for later? Or does it pretty much go straight into the recycling/trash? 😄

And for those of you who do reuse your bags for yarn storage — would it be helpful if there were a designated spot on the outside where you could write what’s inside?

🎉 Finished Object alert! 🎉

Lori A. finished her beautiful Anker’s Sweater—and we LOVE this yarn combination! 🧶

She paired Freckled Frog Fluff in DeAnne’s Dotty Daydreams with Malabrigo Sock in Natural, creating this soft, subtle fabric with just the right amount of color peeking through. And that textured yoke shows it off beautifully!

There’s something extra special about seeing DeAnne’s Dotty Daydreams, one of our exclusive 50th Anniversary colorways, knit up into a finished sweater. 💜

A little Wednesday morning wellness before heading into Needle Nook. 💪🧶

Some of you may know that before yarn became my full-time world, I spent 20 years as a fitness director/ personal trainer. And every now and then, I still get the chance to put that hat back on — like this morning, training a client in her home.

Wellness has always been important to me, and it’s an important part of what I want Needle Nook to stand for, too.

Because wellness isn’t only about lifting weights or getting in a workout. It’s also about slowing down. Using your hands. Giving your brain somewhere else to go for a while. Sitting around a table with people who make you laugh. Creating something and feeling that wonderful little sense of accomplishment when you realize, I made this.

Knitting and crochet can be part of taking care of ourselves — mind and body.

That’s one of the reasons our mission, Successful Crafting for Everyone, means so much to me. I want Needle Nook to be a place that helps people create, connect, learn, and feel good while doing it.

Although I have to admit… my client’s workout this morning involved considerably less yarn. 😂

Okay, Lakbira!!! 🔥

Our Crochet Instructor Lakbira S. made these absolutely AMAZING shorts—and the colorwork she added takes them to another level.

She started with the Melia Pant by Whymsi Row, then modified the pattern to add her own colorwork. The combination of that gorgeous lacework and Malabrigo color is just spectacular.
