Has it been 9 months already?
After our wedding in June 2025, we moved my family from Sugar Hill to Atlanta and began the beautiful, blending process of becoming a family of ten.
When people ask how it’s going, my answer is always the same:
“No one could possibly deserve this. It’s too good. A blessing so great I couldn’t have imagined it.”
I think back to the painful years of my divorce and working through the overwhelming baggage that followed. Many of you were there for that! During that season, I created a playlist on my phone entitled 2021/2022 filled with songs I clung to in the worst moments. Their lyrics were like armor, strengthening my hope that our family would one day be restored and rebuilt into something beautiful.
The first song on that playlist begins like this:
“Blessed are those who wait on the Lord, for they will be filled. Watch the way He rebuilds.
Blessed are those whose hearts have been broken,
They will be hemmed better than when they began.
Blessed are those still caught in a cycle,
His name shatters them all. They’ll pay back sevenfold.
Blessed are those whose home life is hurting.
Settle, take a deep breath.
He gives back innocence.
You’ll see.
You’ll see.
This is just the beginning.”
I clung to those words like a lifeline, through chaos, through fear, through moments that demanded more than I had to give. I repeated them long before I saw any evidence they would come true.
And it turns out they weren’t just words. They were promise. Truer than I could have imagined when I first whispered them into the air with trembling faith.
Here I am. Living it. Watching my family heal, grow, and thrive.
To anyone in the middle of the storm, keep choosing faith and faithfulness, and watch what God does with it! He does not disappoint. He is always working towards redemption. You’ll see!
I stepped away from social media while we blended, wanting to soak in the goodness without distraction. But I have some fun projects in the works, and of course I have to share. Swipe to the end for a sneak peak!
